Task8-1

Make a statement on the [Task 8-1] submission board about your first impressions of the sample case, including your feelings, questions, and things that need to be resolved.

Conditions for PASS : New entries to the bulletin board: 1 or more

 

Task8-2

Analyze the assigned case using the following "Analytical Perspectives" and report the results.In doing so, ask questions about the items you need to know in the following manner.

<Perspective of Analysis>
1.Needs Analysis

  • List the stakeholders of the issue case and enumerate the needs of each.

2.Environmental factors analysis

  • List the environmental factors (both external and internal) for the implementation of e-learning.

  • Do the results cover the facts (what is written in the case)?
  • Are the results of the analysis based on the facts (what is written in the case)?

<How to ask the question>
If you need to analyze items that are not listed in the case study, please make your own assumptions or ask your instructor for help.
If you make your own assumptions, please explain how you made them in your report. If you have any questions, please ask them on the "Contact with the instructor" page on the website. When you ask a question, please title it "Analysis: About ▲▲" so that other students can easily find the same kind of question, and so that they know what kind of question it is. You may also post related questions as comments in the Q&A, but please post new questions that are a little farther away (this also makes it easier to find similar questions).

Prepare your report with the following points in mind, and post it on the "Group Discussion Board"(common to the 8th through 11th sessions).

  • Create your report as a file and attach it when you post it.
  • The file format should be Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF.
  • The file must be able to be printed out in A4 or A3 format (either portrait or landscape).
    (If you wish to use a different file format or size, please contact us in advance.
  • The file name should be "id2-name-#. File name should be "id2-name-#. extension". (Example: id2-kitamura-08.doc)
  • (where # is the class session and name is the name of the submitter)

After posting your report on the group bulletin board, view the reports of other members in your group and ask questions, give opinions, and give advice to each other (mutual comments are optional).

Task9

Report on the following points (as an individual).

1.Design of the change

  • Based on the previous analysis, indicate what you are going to change and how you are going to change it by this introduction.
2.Results of the study of options
  • Discuss the various options for changing the needs and the above.

3.Concept of the plan

  • Organize the concept of the plan in the form of "for what purpose", "by what means", and "what will be done", and check its assumptions and logic with reference to the text.
4.Ideas
  • Present an idea for realizing the above concept.
5.Benefits for Stakeholders
  • Indicate the benefits of this proposal for each stakeholder listed in the previous section (in terms of what you would say to appeal to each stakeholder).

Task10

Organize the specifications for the new implementation. Post the organized specifications on the "Group Discussion Board" (common to the 8th to 11th sessions)(as an individual).

  • In principle, use the template when organizing.
  • If there are items you want to include other than the template, you may add additional columns. If you do so, please make sure that it is obvious at a glance which column you have added.
  • As a form for organizing the specifications, you may use the one you use in your daily work, but please make sure that the items in the template are covered.

If there are items required for the task that are not listed in the case or in the instructions above, please make your own assumptions or ask your instructor for help.
If you make your own assumptions, please write in the specification how you made the assumptions. If you wish to ask a question, please follow the instructions below.

Task11

Create a screen transition diagram (and preferably a rich picture as explained in the text) for the new implementation, and post it to the "Group Discussion Board" (common in the 8th through 11th sessions)(as an individual)。

The format of the screen transition diagram can be any (even one that you use in your daily work, etc.), but at a minimum, the following items should be clear.

  • Flow from login to learning
  • Screens to be prepared
  • Screen image (just the layout of the screen is acceptable. (If you are using an off-the-shelf product, a screen capture of it is acceptable.
  • What functions does the LMS need?

For items required for the task that are not listed in the case or in the instructions above, either make your own assumptions or ask your instructor.
