Task 12

Develop a plan for a project to introduce a new system, and organize and document the items to be managed. Post the organized documents to the 『Group Discussion Board』 (common to the 12th to 15th sessions) (as an individual).

  • At a minimum, provide an outline of the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), project structure diagram, resource estimate, and schedule.

  • The hierarchy of the WBS is optional, but make sure that the items shown in the WBS match the business items in the other documents.
  • In the resource estimation section, present the human resources, facilities and equipment, available materials and existing resources, and costs for the items shown in the WBS.
  • In the schedule summary, provide a bird's eye view of the overall progress and milestones.


Any items required for the task that are not listed in the case or in the instructions above should be assumed by you or asked by your instructor.
If you make your own assumptions, please write in the specification how you made the assumptions. If you want to ask a question, please follow the instructions below.

Do a self-check on the contents of your report before submitting it.

  • If all the bottom layers (ends) of the WBS are completed, will the e-learning you are planning be realized? Are there any gaps?
  • Is the e-learning a realization of your concept or idea?
  • Are there any discrepancies between the WBS, resource estimation, and schedule?
  • Are there any discrepancies between the WBS, resource estimation, and schedule?

In addition, please pay attention to the following points when creating and submitting your report.

  • Please prepare your report as a file and attach it to your submission.
  • The file format should be Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF.
  • Print out in A4 or A3 format (either landscape or portrait).
    (Please consult with us in advance if you wish to use a file format or size other than the above.)
  • The file name should be "id2-name-#. The file name should be "id2-name-#. extension". )
    (Example: id2-kitamura-12.doc

After posting the task on the group bulletin board (the task is completed by posting the document), view the reports of other members in the group and ask questions, give opinions, and give advice to each other (mutual comments are optional).

Task 13

Summarize the tasks you have done so far, prepare a draft development plan, and post it on the 『Group Discussion Board』 (common to the 12th through 15th sessions). (As an individual)

In addition to satisfying the notes given in Task 2, you should

  • Evaluation plan (project evaluation)
  • 導Screen transition diagrams and images that give an idea of the e-learning to be introduced
  • Project plan (WBS, implementation system, schedule, resource estimation)
  • Future prospects
Formatting and items are free as long as the above information is shown. It is also optional, but please try to use rich pictures if possible.

※Note: In this Task 13, the following information should be added to the above: evaluation plan (evaluation of the project), screen transition diagram and image diagram to give an idea of the e-learning to be introduced, project plan (WBS, implementation system, schedule, resource estimation), and future prospects.

After posting the tasks on the group bulletin board (Task 13 is completed by posting the plan), we will proceed to the 14th session, where we will view the reports of other members in the group as Task 14, and ask questions, opinions, and advice to each other.

Task 14

Write at least one comment (question, opinion, or advice) on the submitted development plan on the 『Group Discussion Board』(common to the 12th-15th sessions) within each group. Also, when you incorporate the good points of the development plan submitted by other members into your own development plan, please comment on that as well. The answers to the comments from your group members obtained in this task will be given in the 15th session.

Also, the following is not a task (optional), but you can browse and comment on other groups' bulletin boards. Comments on other groups are also welcome. By working on these, it is expected that the improvement plan will be brushed up.

Task 15

Respond to the comments you received from other members of your group in Task 14 (reply to the questions, how you accepted the opinions and advice, how you will revise them, etc.), and post a revised version of the development plan (the development plan to be submitted as an assignment) reflecting those comments on the bulletin board.

Assignment 3

Add the following information to the interim report you prepared in Assignment 2, and submit the final version of the e-learning project plan to the Human Resources Department of Company X.


(a) Evaluation plan (project evaluation)
(b) A screen transition diagram/image that gives an idea of the e-learning system that you intend to implement.
(c) Project plan (WBS, schedule, necessary resources and personnel, structure, etc.)
(d) Future prospects.
