Based on the learning objectives described on the previous page, please read through the assigned reading and do the following 1) and 2).
The assigned reading, "Introduction to Human Resource Development in Corporations: Learning Basic Theories of Psychology and Pedagogy for Developing Human Resources," is intended for practitioners (especially those in charge of human resource development) and explains the psychological and pedagogical theories necessary for considering human resource development in corporations. In this book, "Chapter 2: Learning Models" introduces four representative learning models in the field of management: the Experiential Learning Model, the Critical Learning Model, the Legitimate Peripheral Participation Model, and the Learning Transfer Model.
The "critical approach," which is the basis of the critical learning model, is the theme of this study. However, in order to understand the characteristics of the critical learning model, it is necessary to be fully aware of the differences from the experiential learning model and the orthodox peripheral participation model. Therefore, we would like our students to compare the three models (experiential learning model, critical learning model, and legitimate peripheral participation model) as they proceed with their studies.
The learning transfer model is not oriented toward "learning through practice," but it contains the central (dominant) idea in today's corporate training. The core of this study is based on the Experiential Learning Model, the Critical Learning Model, and the Legitimate Peripheral Participation Model, and we believe that by contrasting them with the Learning Transfer Model, we can gain a deeper understanding of the content of these models.
Learning content and how to proceed
1) Understand the three representative learning models utilized in human resource development in the field of management (corresponding to Learning Content A)
First, please read the assigned reading carefully and summarize the differences in the theoretical background and directionality aimed at by the Experiential Learning Model, the Critical Learning Model, and the Legitimate Peripheral Participation Model.
2) Explore the possibilities and challenges of "learning through practice"( corresponding to Study Contents B)
Based on your understanding of the Experiential Learning Model, Critical Learning Model, and Legitimate Peripheral Participation Model, as well as what you have learned in the previous three blocks (Part 6 to Part 9), please freely discuss the possibilities and challenges of "learning through practice. This will be [Task 10].
For details on how to proceed with [Task 10], please refer to the next chapter.
